The “Concert For A Cure,” slated for Sept. 30 at the Roanoke Civic Center, will also include performances by Chris Young and Thompson Square. All proceeds from the concert will benefit the Susan G. Komen For The Cure.

“Breast cancer is something that’s affected me, my family and just about everyone I know,” said Jason Aldean in a statement. “Last year, we took the benefit on the road and raised a lot of money in Evansville, Ind. It was such an incredible night! I love looking out and seeing all the pink T-shirts in the crowd … it’s amazing what we can do and how much money we can raise when we all come together for this cause.”

The benefit concert will fall within Aldean’s My Kinda Party Tour, which runs through late October. Additional Jason Aldean tickets are available for Sept. 16 in Clarkston, Mich.; Sept. 25 in Orange Beach, Ala.; and Oct. 21 in Denver.

That’s because Aldean, who has been nominated for four awards including ‘Video of the Year,’ will be performing at this year’s ceremony. Additional performers for the 10th annual show include Sugarland, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts.

The other performers are also no stranger to nominations, as each of them have three nominations each. The 2011 CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville on June 8. Don’t miss it!

Aldean’s last album, Wide Open, has sold 1.3 million copies, which is more than the last albums for Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley. And Aldean has managed to do so while enjoying relative obscurity compared to these three country megastars. It’s a feat he’s accomplished the old fashioned way, i.e., constantly playing live.

My Kinda Party follows largely the same kind of formula as Wide Open, namely assembling a collection of songs that emphasize having a good time. Aldean admits to this unabashedly, “I want songs that are going to come off well live. I’m not going to sing songs about breakups all night. I want them to have fun. They come out early, they tailgate, they have fun. It is a party.”

All of Aldean’s hard work is going to pay off next year when he moves to the next touring level in support of his latest release. He’ll be taking his “party” on the road as the headliner to a mix of amphitheaters and arenas.

Great tickets are on sale now through a leading ticket broker, GreatSeats.com, for this second leg of Aldean’s tour, which will be accompanied on various dates by special guests Luke Bryan and Uncle Kracker. Previously, Jason was on tour opening for Brooks and Dunn. He will also be appearing with Miranda Lambert later this month in Canada.

Up to this point, Aldean’s summer has been dominated by state and county fairs and various music festival appearances. This fall outing will  be a step up for him with the slate of arena shows, mainly in the south and midwest. Highlights include Biloxi, MS, Columbia, SC, Corpus Christi, TX, Madison, WI, Fort Wayne, IN, and Birmingham, AL.

Jason was excited about his extended tour, exclaiming, “The music will be loud, the beer will be cold, and the college football will be on every TV backstage and in the parking lot!”

Now on their last tour, Brooks and Dunn are bringing in tons of people who don’t want to miss the last chance to see them together. Though the two still have a summer full of performances ahead, they have already made their final stops in Canada and will be playing in the U.S. only from May 14 on.

Aldean is using the opportunity for exposure to more fans who haven’t heard his work, but would surely like it. At the May 2 Vancouver show, Aldean and his 4-piece band played 50 minutes of music, including “Crazy Town” and “Amarillo Sky.”

Following the end of Brooks and Dunn’s tour on July 31, Aldean tickets will still be on sale for solo performance through Sept. 18.

The relative  newcomer to country is enjoying the momentum building in his successful career, and he is celebrating with his own solo outing, as well as a series of dates this spring and early summer riding shotgun for Brooks and Dunn on their “Last Rodeo Tour.” This outing is to be their last before the two veterans officially retire.

But Aldean clearly has a long and bright future ahead of him. Summer plans include several festival appearances, a show with Miranda Lambert, and the rest of his headlining tour with Luke Bryan.

The event will take place at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn., June 10-13, 201o, with half of the net proceeds donated to benefit music education in the public schools in and around Nashville. Last year’s attendance broke all previous records and organizers are counting on a good turnout again this year, thanks in part to fresh faces like Aldean.

Other performers lending their talent to the lineup include Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum Carrie Underwood and the Zac Brown Band.
